At only 22 years old, Icelandic singer/songwriter Ásgeir (born Ásgeir Trausti Einarsson) is quickly becoming a worldwide phenomenon. His 2012 debut Dýrð í dauðaþögn went platinum in his native Iceland with roughly one out of every ten Icelanders owning the release. Critical acclaim came not only for the music, but also for the lyrics, which were penned by Ásgeir’s 72-year-old father.
